Both Singapore Lions & Indonesia go into this Wednesday Asian Cup Second Leg Qualifying Match needing a win to still have any realistic chance of Qualifying for the competition's proper in 2011 , following last night's First Leg defeat . The Lions went down 3 - 1 at Home at the National Stadium to Bryan Robson's Thailand , while Indonesia lost 2 - 1 to Kuwait in their Away Fixture .
Following the defeat , Singapore are now third in Group E , two points behind Thailand , so only a victory in Bangkok this Wednesday will see them leapfrog the Thais to reclaim their second place spot in the Group which they had lost after last night's defeat . For Indonesia , they are currently stuck rooted at the bottom of their Group B Qualification Table gaining only two points after three Games played - with two Draws & one defeat .
Therefore , only a victory will assure Indonesia to still have any realistic chance of Qualifying at all ! A victory on this Wednesday will see them go Third in the Table , displacing Oman . Then a victory against Oman in their next Qualifier in January next year when the Qualifiers resumes , will see them go a step closer to a Finals appearance in 2011 . The Top two Teams in each Group Qualifies for the Asian Cup competition proper in Doha .
