Singapore To Suffer LIVE Confederations Cup " Blackout " ?

1 June 2013

Shocking , and probably quite true . That is the worst case scenario that soccer fans here may have to endure , and are also desperately hoping to avoid with the Tournament due to kick off in less than a month's time - 14 Days away to the Opening Match ( Brazil vs Japan ) to be exact and yet , soccer fans here are still being kept in the dark as to whether they would actually get to watch the Tournament LIVE at all on either Pay TV platforms .

Till now , as this post is being published , there had been NO exact Official Reports or Confirmation from either Starhub TV or SingTel miotv as to whether they have managed to secure the LIVE Broadcasting Rights to the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 Tournament , scheduled to kick off in exactly two weeks time . Eight Teams will compete over two weeks ( from 15 June 2013 To 30 June 2013 ) in Brazil in a World Cup Rehearsal Showpiece Tournament to see who will emerge tops at the end of this month .

As Singaporeans here are bracing against time with the likelihood that they might have to suffer the shocking possibility of LIVE Confederations Cup " Blackout " , one of our neighbours - Indonesia has Officially announced that they have successfully managed to secure not only the LIVE Broadcast Rights to the FIFA Condederations Cup Tournament , but also the 2014 FIFA World Cup LIVE Broadcast Rights as well . Two Indonesian TV Channels - antv and TV One will be the Official Broadcasters to both Tournaments .

With time fast running out , all soccer fans in Singapore are hoping right now is to hear of some Official News Reports that a deal has been struck with either Pay TV - Starhub TV or SingTel miotv to carry the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup Tournament LIVE to our viewers .
